After the Fire

Every year, it seems, the California Wildfires damage more and more.  Ravaging through forests and scorching homes and displacing animals, the season can be very hard to witness.  But, even through all the devastation, the Earth renews and life emerges once more.  This piece represents new growth on a scorched tree branch.  The moody sky behind it suggests that while the air is clearing, there is still smoke in the distance.
